Entreprenelle, a leading social enterprise focused on community development across MENA, has launched the second mini edition of its “SHE CAN – Tech & AI” event in Cairo. The initiative aims to empower and support women entrepreneurs, leaders, and professionals within Egypt’s rapidly expanding technology sector.
The event was held in collaboration with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and under the patronage of the Ministry of Social Solidarity, the National Council for Women, and the National Council for Persons with Disabilities, signaling strong governmental support for the cause.
A Hub for Tech Empowerment
Hosted at the Creativa Innovation Hub in Sultan Hussein Kamel Palace, the second edition of SHE CAN – Tech & AI attracted over 1,000 visitors and featured 45 expert speakers. The event catered to a diverse audience, including entrepreneurs at various stages, executive leaders, Gen Z job seekers, and freelancers.
The sessions and workshops were designed to be highly practical, focusing on the integration of AI and digital technologies into business management and career development. Key topics included leveraging AI for digital marketing and e-commerce, organizing creative ideas, and managing financial resources efficiently. The content also explored the application of advanced technologies in education and entrepreneurship.
Strategic Partnerships Driving The Initiative
The event’s success was bolstered by a coalition of prominent strategic partners. Key supporters included Kuwait Finance House – Egypt (KFH-Egypt), Capgemini Egypt, and Bless, demonstrating a commitment from the corporate sector to foster female talent in technology.
This public-private collaboration is crucial for building a sustainable ecosystem that provides women with the tools, networks, and opportunities needed to thrive in tech-driven industries.
Tapping Into A Growing Sector
Rania Ayman, Founder and CEO of Entreprenelle, highlighted the strategic importance of the initiative in her comments on the launch. “The mini edition of SHE CAN – Tech & AI confirms our ongoing commitment to empowering women across the Middle East and North Africa and enhancing their presence in the rapidly growing technology sector,” she stated.
Ayman also provided key data from ITIDA, noting that Egypt’s tech sector currently provides over 300,000 jobs, with women holding more than 30% of these roles. “Plans are in place to increase this number to 500,000 by 2026, reflecting the promising opportunities available for women entrepreneurs to enter the tech workforce,” she added.
