The 45th edition of GITEX GLOBAL, the world’s largest tech and AI event, is set to take place in Dubai from October 13-17, 2025, positioning the UAE at the forefront of the global conversation on building AI-native societies. In a landmark collaboration, Abu Dhabi’s AI powerhouse G42 will join forces with OpenAI and Microsoft to lead high-level dialogues aimed at shaping the next era of national-scale intelligence and societal transformation.

A Landmark Dialogue on AI Integration

A highlight of the event will be the highly anticipated debut of Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, who will participate in a virtual discussion with Peng Xiao, Group CEO of G42. Their session, themed “From Early Adoption to AI-Native Societies: Envisioning the Next Era of Intelligence,” is expected to deliver crucial insights on transitioning from AI experimentation to full integration, laying the foundational principles for future AI-driven societies. This brings together two of the most influential vanguards shaping the global trajectory of artificial intelligence.

UAE Spearheads National AI Strategy Discussions

The event underscores the UAE’s pivotal role in shaping AI geopolitics and economic strategy. H.E. Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, the UAE’s Minister of Economy and Tourism, will address how the nation is recalibrating its economic strategies around AI. He will be joined by H.E. Omar Sultan Al Olama, UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, who will explore how nations can leverage the current ‘intelligence super-cycle’ to build economic resilience and assert digital leadership. Further cementing the UAE’s strategic investment focus, Naima Al Falasi, SVP AI Strategy & Transformation at Abu Dhabi’s sovereign fund Mubadala, will share insights on embedding AI and Machine Learning across key sectors to amplify national competitiveness.

Building the Infrastructure for Global Intelligence

A significant focus of the GITEX & G42 AI-Native Societies Programme will be on strategic alliances and infrastructure. Senior executives from G42 subsidiary Core42 and the US-UAE Business Council will discuss the UAE-US 5GW AI Campus, the largest AI infrastructure project outside the United States. The conversation will expand to cover the visionary Global Intelligence Grid, with participation from senior leaders at G42, OpenAI, Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle, Khazna Data Centres, and Cerebras.

The programme will also feature real-world deployments, with leadership from TAMM – Department of Government Enablement (Government of Abu Dhabi), Presight, and Core42 demonstrating how Abu Dhabi is operationalising AI at scale across government and industry.

Global Tech Leaders Converge in Dubai

GITEX GLOBAL 2025 will convene a formidable lineup of ministers, tech CEOs, founders, and investors from over 180 countries. Key discussions will span AI geopolitics, quantum frontiers, investment priorities, and cyber resilience. Executives from global giants like Siemens, IBM, and Qualcomm will share their blueprints for industrial AI, quantum-ready workforces, and chip strategies.

The event will also feature founders of pioneering unicorns, including Andrew Feldman of Cerebras, Greg Jackson of Octopus Energy, and Ramin Hasani of Liquid AI, who will offer their visions for the future economics of compute, energy, and neural networks.
