Tetr College, a global business school built on an experiential learning model, has announced the successful closure of an $18 million funding round. The investment was co-led by leading education-focused venture capital firm Owl Ventures and Bertelsmann India Investments (BII).
The fresh capital is earmarked for a significant global expansion, including the establishment of new state-of-the-art campuses in Dubai, the United States, and Europe. This move will deepen Tetr’s operating network, which already spans ten countries, and broaden its academic offerings in management and entrepreneurship.
A New Model for Global Business Education
Founded in 2024 by Pratham Mittal, Tetr College has pioneered a unique “Learn by Doing” approach for its global undergraduate program. Students are immersed in diverse business ecosystems, launching ventures across multiple continents while studying at premier institutions like IIT in India, NUS in Singapore, and Cornell in the USA.
The school’s faculty comprises distinguished professors from world-renowned universities such as Harvard, Stanford, and MIT, alongside top executives from organizations like NASA and Softbank India. Following the success of its undergraduate program, Tetr recently launched a one-year Master in Management and Technology (MiM-Tech) to equip early-career professionals and aspiring founders with the skills to scale and transform businesses.
Pratham Mittal, Founder of Tetr College, stated, “Tetr was conceived as a truly global school for entrepreneurship, built as a lived experience across countries and markets. This round, backed by the world’s leading education investors, validates our model and demonstrates our strength in attracting premier global talent. We now move into the next orbit of growth with high-tech campuses in the US, Europe and Dubai.”
Strategic Expansion into MENA
The decision to establish a campus in Dubai highlights the growing importance of the MENA region as a global hub for education, innovation, and entrepreneurship. The new campus will provide students with direct access to the vibrant and rapidly scaling startup ecosystem in the UAE and the wider Middle East.
Tarun Gangwar, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at Tetr, commented on the expansion plans, “This fundraise marks a major leap in Tetr’s global scale-up, allowing us to enhance student experience and operational excellence across our upcoming campuses in the US, Europe, and Dubai. Our focus will be on building robust processes for academic delivery, partnerships, career outcomes, and student services.”
Investor Confidence and Future Growth
The funding round signals strong investor confidence in Tetr’s disruptive educational model. Pankaj Makkar, Managing Director at Bertelsmann India Investments, said, “As the world becomes multi-polar and disruptive innovations in AI reshape jobs and industries, the next generation of education models must evolve. Tetr sits at the centre of that transformation, and we are excited to partner with Pratham and his Management team to build this global education platform from India.”
Tetr has already demonstrated impressive traction, with a 50% year-over-year increase in applications. The college maintains a highly selective acceptance rate of just 2.6%, with an average student SAT score of around 1490. Its inaugural cohort of 110 students launched 44 ventures in their first year, generating over $324,000 in combined revenue.
