Abu Dhabi’s global tech ecosystem, Hub71, has launched its new Startup Immersion Programme in Hong Kong, creating a strategic bridge for later-stage startups to expand into the Middle East and North Africa. The announcement was made at the Investopia conference, highlighting the UAE’s commitment to fostering international economic partnerships through innovation and technology.
Strategic Partnerships To Bridge Ecosystems
To anchor the program, Hub71 signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with three of Hong Kong’s most prominent innovation hubs: the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park Limited (HSITPL), Hong Kong Cyberport, and MTR Lab. These partnerships will create a strong pipeline of high-potential startups for the program and facilitate reciprocal access, knowledge exchange, and joint initiatives between the two vibrant tech ecosystems.
A Fast-Track Program for Market Entry
The two-week immersion program is designed to accelerate market entry for participating companies. It combines a virtual phase for market readiness with an in-person session in Abu Dhabi. Founders will gain direct access to regulators, investors, and corporate partners, along with tailored mentorship and curated networking opportunities. The program culminates in a Demo Day during Hub71’s Impact Event in Abu Dhabi, providing a high-profile platform to showcase their ventures.

This initiative marks Hub71’s fourth cross-border partnership this year, following recent strategic moves in New Jersey, Japan, and Ireland.
