INJAZ Jordan Launches Phase Two Of Its Startup Internship Program

3 Min Read

The Jordanian non-profit organization INJAZ has announced the opening of applications for the second phase of its “Training in Startups” project. This initiative, executed in collaboration with Jordan’s Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, aims to bolster the local startup ecosystem by bridging the skills gap and connecting emerging companies with qualified talent.

Tackling Core Startup Hurdles

The project directly addresses two of the most significant challenges facing early-stage companies: limited access to funding and the difficulty of attracting skilled professionals. By serving as a vital link between startups and vetted trainees, the program provides a practical solution.

A key feature of the initiative is its fully-funded model, which covers the complete monthly costs for each intern throughout the program’s duration. This removes the financial burden from startups, allowing them to benefit from fresh talent while enabling young professionals to gain invaluable hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.

Building On The Success Of Phase One

The launch of the second phase follows a highly successful initial run that engaged 64 startups from diverse economic sectors. Participants in the first cohort underwent a comprehensive nine-month program, which included three months of intensive theoretical training followed by six months of direct practical application within the partner companies.

The program also incorporates periodic performance evaluations to ensure continuous skill development and a beneficial experience for both the trainees and the host startups.

Application and Program Goals

INJAZ has encouraged interested startups to monitor the official platforms of both the organization and the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship for detailed application requirements and procedures. The selection process will be based on specific criteria designed to maximize the program’s impact.

The overarching goal is to empower Jordanian youth, enhance their readiness for the modern workforce, and strengthen their integration into the national entrepreneurship ecosystem, ultimately driving innovation and growth.
