Jordan And UAE Forge Strategic Alliance To Empower Women In Business And Tech

The Amman Chamber of Commerce and the Jordanian-Emirati Businesswomen’s Council have signed a landmark memorandum of cooperation aimed at strengthening the partnership frameworks for female entrepreneurs in Jordan and the United Arab Emirates. The agreement marks a significant step towards creating a more integrated and supportive ecosystem for women-led businesses across the two nations.

The MoU was signed by Khalil Al-Haj Tawfiq, President of the Amman Chamber of Commerce, and Dr. Amal Al-Hudabi, Chairperson of the Jordanian-Emirati Businesswomen’s Council.

A Framework For Growth And Collaboration

Under the terms of the agreement, both parties will actively exchange information, investment opportunities, and future project roadmaps. The collaboration will also involve sharing reports and studies, commissioning joint research, and extending invitations for official delegations to foster direct engagement.

A key objective of the MoU is to identify and address challenges facing bilateral trade, while simultaneously developing joint initiatives to enhance economic and commercial awareness among their members. This includes launching educational campaigns, support programs, and exhibitions designed to bolster the creative and innovative skills of businesswomen through institutional partnership.

Fostering An Innovation-Driven Partnership

Khalil Al-Haj Tawfiq described the agreement as a “new start” for activating a meaningful partnership and delivering initiatives that serve women in the commercial and service sectors.

“This strategic partnership is a step towards economically empowering women and enhancing sustainable cooperation between Jordan and the UAE in the field of entrepreneurship,” stated Al-Haj Tawfiq. He emphasized that the continuous cooperation will facilitate the exchange of expertise, promote joint investment opportunities, and reflects the strength of Jordanian-Emirati relations.

He also stressed the need to organize future sector-specific meetings and business forums to connect business leaders from both countries, fostering direct communication between investors and expanding the scope for joint ventures that support both economies.

Bridging Ecosystems Through Tech And Entrepreneurship

Dr. Amal Al-Hudabi highlighted the Council’s mission to build sustainable bridges for regional cooperation in entrepreneurship and expressed pride in the deep-rooted relationship between Jordan and the UAE.
“This memorandum provides an ideal platform for exchanging information and expertise between the members of the Council and the Chamber, and encourages them to participate in joint programs and events that support their skills development,” she explained.

Dr. Al-Hudabi also announced plans for a pioneering conference on “Artificial Intelligence, Women, and Entrepreneurship” to be held in Amman this coming April, in collaboration with relevant Jordanian authorities. She noted this would be the first event of its kind in Jordan, with plans to host a second edition in the UAE to promote knowledge exchange and empower women in technology and entrepreneurship.

Furthermore, the Council intends to establish an honorary advisory board comprising prominent business figures and representatives from the public and private sectors in both countries to streamline support for joint economic initiatives.
