Jordan’s Innovation Village Kicks Off to Showcase Top Entrepreneurial Projects

The Jordanian Innovation Village conference and exhibition officially opened in Amman, providing a national platform to showcase and market creative entrepreneurial projects in line with the Kingdom’s Economic Modernization Vision. The event was inaugurated by Eng. Samira Al-Zoubi, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship.

A National Platform for Innovation

The Jordanian Innovation Village is a national platform that brings together creative thinkers, young entrepreneurs, and supporting bodies from both the public and private sectors. The event’s core mission is to promote entrepreneurial projects, enhance the integration between industry and innovation, and create a sustainable business environment based on technology and future industries.

A Showcase of Jordanian Innovation

The exhibition features 20 distinguished entrepreneurial projects that were selected from a pool of 120 applicants based on their merit, innovation, and alignment with Jordan’s economic goals. The event also includes four prominent “innovation corners” hosting projects from:

  • The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at the University of Jordan.
  • The Center of Excellence for Creative Projects at the Jordan University of Science and Technology.
  • The Innovation and Development Center at the Public Security Directorate.
  • The Jordan Design and Development Bureau (JODDB).

Leadership on Building a Knowledge-Based Economy

The event was organized by the “Academia-Industry Integration Platform” company, in partnership with the Association of Retired Military Engineers and the Jordanian Society for Scientific Research, Entrepreneurship, and Creativity. In his speech, Dr. Reda Al-Khawaldeh, President of the Jordanian Society for Scientific Research, stated, “We gather today at this unique event in response to the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II to build a national economy based on creativity and excellence, and to implement the vision of His Highness Crown Prince Hussein to empower youth.”

About the Event

Held at the Jordan International Exhibition Center, the two-day conference and exhibition runs in parallel with the 18th International Exhibition for Construction Technology and Engineering Industries, “Jordan Build.” The event is free to attend for all interested parties.
