The high-profile event was organized to create direct channels for collaboration and overcome existing commercial challenges.
The meeting was attended by prominent figures including the Turkish Ambassador to Jordan, Yakup Caymazoglu, and commercial attachés from Tunisia, Pakistan, China, and Turkey, signaling strong international interest in the region’s economic development.
Fostering Investment-Driven Partnerships
Fathi Jaghbir, President of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, emphasized the critical role of such forums in building robust ties between entrepreneurs and establishing investment-focused economic alliances.
He highlighted that a key objective for the Jordanian industrial sector is to boost its exports to Palestine by strengthening cooperation with the Palestinian private sector and navigating obstacles imposed by Israel.
A Platform For Direct Engagement
Nazmi Atmeh, Chairman of the Forum’s Board, noted that the active participation of delegations from the Nablus Businessmen Forum and the Hebron Business Forum is central to promoting trade. The event provides a crucial platform for direct networking among business leaders from both nations.
This year’s forum saw participation from 32 Palestinian companies representing a diverse range of sectors, including food industries, chemicals, furniture, pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and vehicle trading.
Jihad Al Banna, President of the Nablus Businessmen Forum, described the event as a strategic platform for exchanging expertise and building trust. He stated that it offers tangible opportunities to launch new partnerships and enhance private-sector collaboration, viewing it as a strategic move towards regional integration and sustainable development.
Regional Investment Interest
Turkish Ambassador Yakup Caymazoglu reaffirmed Turkiye’s commitment to growing its investments in Jordan and supporting the industrial development of both the Jordanian and Palestinian economies.
He observed that Turkish companies are increasingly looking to invest in the region and form partnerships with local businesses, citing Jordan’s long-standing reputation for security and stability as a significant economic advantage.
