Jordan-based education technology platform Abwaab has acquired Apex Education, an Egyptian startup specialising in elite college admissions advisory, for an undisclosed sum. The strategic move aims to create a comprehensive, end-to-end platform supporting students from early learning through to placement at top-tier global universities.
Founded in 2019 by Hamdi Tabbaa, Abwaab has rapidly expanded its footprint across Jordan, Egypt, and Pakistan. The acquisition of Apex Education signals a significant step in bolstering its service offerings to cover the full student lifecycle.
Strengthening the Student Lifecycle
Apex Education, founded in 2019 by Leila Hassan, Hussein Elkheshen, and Mohamed Ebied, has carved a niche in providing personalised admissions guidance. The startup boasts a strong track record of helping students gain acceptance into the world’s most competitive universities, including Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge, Stanford, and Columbia.
This acquisition directly complements Abwaab’s existing strengths in tutoring and test preparation. By integrating Apex’s specialised expertise, Abwaab can now offer a seamless journey for students, combining academic support with high-end admissions counselling for international institutions.
