In celebration of World Tourism Day, Orange Jordan has announced the launch of the “Digital Solutions Hackathon for the Tourism Sector,” in partnership with the country’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. The initiative invites university students from across the Kingdom to develop innovative digital solutions that promote inclusive tourism, with a special focus on improving accessibility for persons with disabilities.

Empowering the Next Generation of Innovators

Running under the theme “Differently Abled, Definitely Enabled,” the hackathon challenges students to apply their creativity and technological skills to break down barriers within the tourism industry. The program encourages participants from all academic disciplines to design practical and innovative solutions that can make Jordan’s rich tourism services more accessible to everyone. Registration is now open through Orange Jordan’s official online channels.

Hackathon Structure and Timeline

The competition will take place from October to December 2025. The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities will actively support the event by providing a dedicated mentor and a jury member to guide participants and evaluate the projects. Teams will be judged on the feasibility and innovativeness of their ideas, with the most promising concepts advancing to a prototype development stage. The winning team will be announced on December 3, 2025, to coincide with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

A Commitment to Responsible Digital Leadership

The hackathon reflects Orange Jordan’s broader commitment to digital empowerment and leveraging technology for a positive societal impact.
