Academy X, a Kuwait-based initiative designed to empower the next generation of female leaders in technology and entrepreneurship, has celebrated the graduation of its second cohort. The program, led by Kuwait’s coding academy CODED and sponsored by Talabat, saw Kuwaiti female students aged 14–18 develop over 50 innovative tech projects.
Fostering Skills in AI and App Development
Throughout the program, participants gained hands-on experience and showcased skills across a range of high-demand fields, including artificial intelligence, application and web development, and UI/UX design. The curriculum also incorporated entrepreneurship fundamentals, leadership training, and essential soft skills, providing a holistic educational experience to prepare them for future careers in STEM.
A Strategic Partnership for Kuwait Vision 2035
The collaboration between CODED and Talabat has been central to the initiative’s success. Bader Al-Ghanim, Vice President and Managing Director of Talabat Kuwait, emphasized the program’s alignment with the New Kuwait Vision 2035, stating that investing in youth talent is a direct investment in the nation’s digital future. Hashim Behbehani, co-founder and COO of CODED, praised the partnership as a prime example of how socially responsible institutions can work together to advance Kuwait’s innovation ecosystem.
Continued Growth and Future Cohorts
The momentum of Academy X is set to continue, with the program’s third cohort scheduled to launch later in 2025. This ongoing commitment will further expand opportunities for young Kuwaiti women, strengthening the pipeline of female talent in the country’s rapidly growing tech sector.
