The American Business Council – AmCham Kuwait (ABCK-AmCham Kuwait), through its Women in Business (WIB) Focus Group, successfully hosted an interactive workshop titled “How to Develop Your Brand & Strategically Position Yourself.” The event provided professionals with practical tools and actionable strategies to enhance their personal brand in a competitive market.
Insights From Industry Leaders
The program was led by Dr. Arezou Harraf, Chair of AmCham Kuwait’s Women in Business Focus Group, and featured a panel of distinguished guest speakers. Dr. Rawda Awwad, President of AUK, discussed the nuances of self-promotion in her talk, “Market Yourself Without the Megaphone.” Mohammed Al Muaili, CEO of KRH, shared insights on effective networking with his segment, “Build and Keep Better Connections,” while Mai Alowaish, CEO of Cinet, offered guidance on professional discernment in her session, “Spot the Real Deal in the Room.”
A Focus On Practical Application
Moving beyond theory, the workshop emphasized hands-on learning through a series of exercises. Participants were guided to craft a concise one-line personal brand statement and develop a polished 30-second introduction suitable for any professional setting. This practical approach ensured attendees left with tangible assets for their career development.
Building Actionable Career Strategies
The event concluded by encouraging attendees to identify two concrete steps to implement over the next 30 days, promoting immediate application of the concepts learned. To foster accountability, participants had the option to pair up with a partner to track their progress. Dr. Harraf highlighted the workshop’s goal, stating, “This session was not just about theory; it was about leaving with real tools participants could use the very next day. Your personal brand is more than a CV or LinkedIn profile—it’s the story people remember when you’re not in the room.”
