Kuwait’s Kamco Invest and TechInvest Explore New $150 Million Venture Fund

2 Min Read

Kuwait-based financial powerhouse Kamco Invest is working with partner firm TechInvest to study the launch of a new venture capital fund, “The JEDI Opportunity Fund,” aimed

at backing high-growth startups. The new fund is expected to have a target size between $100 million and $150 million.
The announcement was made by Fahad Al-Sharikh, CEO of TechInvest, on the sidelines of the MoneyTech 2025 summit held in Kuwait.

Building on a Successful Partnership

This new initiative marks the second collaboration between the two firms. Their first joint venture, the “JEDI Fund,” was launched approximately four years ago with a size of $45 million.

The inaugural fund focused on investing in US-based technology startups, with a particular emphasis on companies emerging from Silicon Valley. The success of this initial fund has paved the way for the larger, follow-on opportunity fund.

A Follow-On Investment Strategy

According to Al-Sharikh, The JEDI Opportunity Fund will adopt a strategic approach by primarily investing in a select group of high-performing portfolio companies from the first JEDI Fund. These companies will be chosen based on their demonstrated strong performance and growth potential.

While discussions are underway, a definitive timeline for the fund’s official launch has not yet been announced.
