The Clyntech Accelerator, a program by Berytech, has officially launched its fourth batch, welcoming 13 innovative startups from Lebanon’s clean technology sector. The selected ventures are developing solutions across critical areas including energy, waste, transportation, and water management.
A Competitive Selection for High-Impact Ventures
The new cohort was chosen following a rigorous pitching round where over 26 startups presented their ideas to a jury of internal and external experts. The 13 selected teams have now commenced a multi-month program aimed at enhancing their technical capabilities and entrepreneurial skills, guiding them from solution validation to market strategy refinement.
Fostering Collaboration Through Design Thinking
The program began with an immersive three-day Design Thinking Bootcamp, designed to build a strong foundation of trust and collaboration among the founders and with the Berytech support team.
During the bootcamp, participants delved into the core principles of design thinking. They learned to understand user needs, identify core beliefs, frame hypotheses, and test their concepts through rapid prototyping. This initial phase equipped each team with a validated concept and a clear roadmap for the upcoming stages of their startup journey.
Turning Technical Founders into Entrepreneurs
A key focus of the Clyntech Accelerator is to bridge the gap between technical expertise and business acumen, which is particularly relevant for cleantech founders often coming from scientific or engineering backgrounds.
The curriculum is structured as a series of interconnected workshops and one-on-one sessions, covering essential topics from product planning and business modeling to legal frameworks and go-to-market strategies. This continuous, applied learning approach helps founders develop the soft skills necessary to communicate their impact, attract investment, and build strategic partnerships.
Intensive Support to Fast-Track Market Entry
Over the next six months, the startups will undergo the accelerator phase, receiving hands-on support to develop their prototypes, build their Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), and solidify their business models.
Following this phase, eight of the most promising startups will be selected to advance to a four-month incubation program. This extended support will focus on refining their technologies, deepening market validation, and scaling their operations for commercial launch, further empowering them to drive both environmental and economic impact.
