In a significant move to bolster the local economy, the Lebanese Franchise Association (LFA) has announced the qualification of 153 Lebanese startups for strategic expansion through franchising. This initiative aims to equip emerging businesses across various sectors with the necessary tools and knowledge to scale their operations both locally and internationally.
Nationwide Initiative Fosters Growth
The economic initiative was rolled out through a series of regional workshops held in major commercial hubs including Beirut, Jounieh, Tripoli, Saida, and Zahle. The program was designed to educate a diverse group of startups on the concepts, mechanisms, and forward-thinking strategies of the franchise model. The participating companies represent a wide array of industries, including manufacturing, tourism, retail, and jewelry, reflecting the broad scope of Lebanon’s entrepreneurial landscape.
Showcasing Lebanon On The Global Stage
This strategic timing precedes the upcoming World Franchise Council meeting, scheduled to take place in Jakarta from October 29 to November 1. The LFA’s participation will provide a crucial platform to highlight Lebanon’s positive developments, including its recent stability and ongoing reform efforts. The association plans to present the achievements and potential of the Lebanese franchise sector to member associations from around the world, positioning the country as a resilient and attractive market for business.
A Collaborative Ecosystem Effort
The success of this initiative was made possible through a series of key partnerships. The LFA highlighted the constructive cooperation with the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, as well as the individual chambers in Beirut, Mount Lebanon, Tripoli, Saida, and Zahle. The support of Franchise Engineers was also instrumental in providing the necessary facilities and expertise to ensure the program’s success.
