MBRSG Launches Ramadan Knowledge Series to Tackle AI and Public Policy in UAE

4 Min Read

The Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG) has announced the launch of its 2026 Ramadan Knowledge Series, a flagship initiative designed to empower the next generation of government leaders and shape public policy. The virtual series aligns with the UAE’s declaration of 2026 as the ‘Year of Family,’ integrating this national priority into its discussions on governance and leadership.

Held during the Holy Month, the series will bring together leaders, decision-makers, and academics for three specialised sessions focused on the intersection of leadership, advanced technology, and behavioural science in government.

Bridging Spirituality with Strategic Dialogue

The initiative aims to combine the spirituality of Ramadan with strategic dialogue on critical government affairs. By addressing topics such as values-based leadership, the ethical application of artificial intelligence, and behavioural insights for decision-making, the series promotes a balanced institutional framework that places the family at the core of national development.
This approach reflects MBRSG’s mission to equip policymakers with practical, forward-looking tools while supporting the UAE’s vision for a sustainable governance model built on innovation, efficiency, and justice.

A Three-Pillar Approach

The 2026 edition is structured around three strategic pillars that reflect key regional priorities. The series will present the Emirati leadership model as a framework for shaping future vision and achieving institutional impact.

Furthermore, it will examine the application of artificial intelligence in guiding economic behaviour within clear ethical parameters. The sessions will also highlight the role of behavioural sciences in human resource development and in creating fair and balanced work environments that enhance professional and social stability.

The virtual sessions will be delivered in Arabic on February 26, March 5, and March 12, 2026. The series features experts from MBRSG, including His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President; Dr. Khalid Al Wazani, Professor of Economics and Public Policies; and Dr. Saleh Al Hammouri, Development and Training Expert.

The first session, ‘The Path of Leadership – Following the Footsteps of Mohammed bin Rashid’, will be led by H.E. Dr. Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri. It will explore leadership as a journey of self-mastery and vision, offering practical tools for values-based decision-making.

The second session, ‘Governing Economic Behaviour through AI in Ramadan: Between Economic Efficiency and Human Values’, will be presented by Prof. Khalid Al Wazani. This session will explore how AI can support economic governance in ways that promote social justice and family stability.

The series concludes with ‘Behavioural Insights and Cognitive Biases in Human Resources’, delivered by Dr. Saleh Al Hammouri. This session will examine how unconscious biases influence HR decisions and how systems can be designed to mitigate their impact, fostering fairness and efficiency.
