KFC MENA and INJAZ Al-Arab have announced a partnership to expand the KFC TAWAR program, an initiative dedicated to unlocking the potential of youth through skills training, mentorship, and job placement. The program is now expanding into Lebanon to support an additional 900 young people.
By the Numbers
- 900: Additional youth in Lebanon to be supported by the program’s expansion.
- 6 Months: The duration of the comprehensive program.
- 15-24: The target age range for participants.
- 80%+: Percentage of youth who continued their education after the program’s pilot in Egypt.
Program Overview and Mission
Launched to mark International Youth Day, the KFC TAWAR program is designed to connect young people in the MENA region to the world of opportunity. At a time when regional youth unemployment is nearly double the global average, the program’s mission is to provide skills and access to industry-specific training to prepare them for the future of work.
What Participants Will Receive
The six-month program offers a blended learning experience with two distinct tracks based on age:
- Ages 15-18: Participants will focus on foundational skills through in-person workshops, online training, and access to INJAZ Campus—a self-paced digital learning platform.
- Ages 18-24: Participants will receive dedicated mentorship, career coaching, and clear pathways to internships and employment opportunities, both at KFC restaurants and beyond.
A Proven Model Expanding to Lebanon
The KFC TAWAR program was first launched in Egypt, where it demonstrated strong results, with over 500 learners enrolled in less than two years. The expansion into Lebanon, where the need for youth opportunities has grown increasingly urgent, is a continuation of the program’s regional ambition to lead in youth development.
