Monsha’at Inks MoU With Japan To Boost Startup Expansion

Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises, Monsha’at, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) to enhance entrepreneurial collaboration between the two nations. The agreement was finalized on the sidelines of the Biban forum in Riyadh, a premier event for the region’s startup ecosystem.

Fostering Bilateral Growth

The strategic partnership aims to create a robust framework for supporting the international expansion of both Saudi and Japanese companies. A key objective of the MoU is to facilitate a mutual exchange of invitations to major entrepreneurship events, providing startups from both countries with valuable opportunities for networking, market entry, and cross-border collaboration.

A Global Stage at Biban

The signing took place at the Biban forum, organized by Monsha’at under the theme “A Global Destination for Opportunities.” In its eleventh edition, the forum has cemented its status as the largest entrepreneurial platform in the region.

The event gathers a diverse international audience, featuring participation from over 150 countries, more than 200 local and international speakers, and over 1,000 exhibitors. The forum serves as a critical meeting point for entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers to build strategic partnerships and explore innovative ideas that drive the Kingdom’s startup ecosystem forward.

The Biban forum is designed to cultivate a stimulating entrepreneurial environment founded on innovation, growth, and sustainability. The event hosts over 85 specialized workshops led by industry experts, focusing on key skills in finance, investment, digital transformation, and global expansion. Furthermore, the forum aims to present over 10,000 investment opportunities across various sectors, reinforcing its role as a catalyst for economic growth and development.
