Nezha Hayat, Chair of the Moroccan Capital Market Authority (AMMC), is the highest-ranking Moroccan on the list, placing 9th overall. Since her appointment in 2016, Hayat has been instrumental in overseeing the country’s capital markets, championing regulatory reforms, enhancing transparency, and building investor confidence. Her leadership has solidified her reputation as one of the most influential figures in North African finance.
Powerhouses in Industry and Diversified Groups
Representing Morocco’s vital industrial and agri-food sector is Rita Maria Zniber, CEO of Diana Holding, who ranked 35th. She leads one of the nation’s largest food and beverage conglomerates, demonstrating strategic prowess in a sector critical to Morocco’s economy.
Close behind at 36th is Saida Lamrani, Associate Vice President at Safari Group. Lamrani is recognized for her role in the management and expansion of the diversified group, contributing significantly to its growth across multiple industries.
Miriam Bensalah Chaqroun, CEO of Les Eaux Minérales d’Oulmès and a board member of Holmarcom Group, is featured at 52nd. A prominent corporate leader, her influence extends into national business policy through her long-standing advocacy in employer organizations.
Shaping Consumer Finance and Retail
At 59th, Laila Mamou, CEO of Wafasalaf, stands out for her leadership in the consumer finance space. She heads one of Morocco’s premier credit institutions, playing a key role at the intersection of banking, household finance, and financial inclusion initiatives.
Completing the Moroccan contingent is Salwa Idrissi Akhannouch at 68th.
