Morocco’s Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform has officially launched the “WE-Elevate” program, a national initiative developed in collaboration with the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO). Announced at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the program is specifically designed to empower micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) led by women and youth.
Program Pillars and Objectives
WE-Elevate will provide entrepreneurs with access to a suite of critical resources, including digital learning modules, mentorship opportunities, and business platforms. The core objectives are to equip these MSMEs with the necessary tools to digitize their operations, scale their businesses effectively, and successfully expand into global markets.
A Strategic Push for Digital Innovation
Speaking at the launch, Minister Amal El Fallah-Seghrouchni emphasized that the initiative is a key part of Morocco’s strategy to position itself as a leading digital innovation hub in Africa. She stated that WE-Elevate will strengthen the competitiveness of local entrepreneurs and enable their active participation in the growing digital economy.
The Role of Global Collaboration
The partnership with the DCO is central to the program’s strategy. Minister El Fallah-Seghrouchni highlighted the DCO’s vital role in connecting Morocco’s national initiatives with global partnerships, transforming local efforts into regional and international opportunities. This collaboration underpins the country’s wider ambition to foster inclusive and sustainable economic growth through digital transformation.
