Moroccan mobility startup Enakl has successfully closed a $2.3 million Seed funding round to scale its intelligent shared transport solutions. The round was led by Azur Innovation Fund, Witamax, and MFounders, and saw follow-on investment from existing backers Catalyst Fund and Digital Africa.
Accelerating Commercial Expansion
The new capital will be instrumental in fueling Enakl’s next phase of growth. The company plans to strengthen its commercial teams, officially launch its SaaS platform tailored for transport operators and large enterprises, and begin testing new ridepooling fleet models.
This Seed round builds upon a $1.4 million pre-Seed round completed in late 2024, which was led by Catalyst Fund along with Renew Capital and other investors, signaling sustained confidence in Enakl’s vision.
Investor Confidence in a Scalable Model
The investment brings together prominent Moroccan funds, underscoring local belief in the startup’s potential to address fundamental mobility issues.
“Enakl addresses a structural challenge in mobility and fleet optimisation, with a technological and operational approach that convinced us of its strong value-creation potential,” commented Adnane Filali, Managing Partner at Azur Innovation Fund. “The team and the quality of execution already demonstrated in a fast-growing market fully align with our early-stage investment thesis.”
Ilan Benhaim, Entrepreneur and Investor at MFounders, echoed this sentiment, stating, “MFounders chose to invest in ENAKL for the quality of its founding team, recognised for its deep expertise in transport in Morocco. Convinced that transport is a key lever for urban and rural development, MFounders is also backing a scalable model designed to expand in Morocco and internationally.”
A Milestone in Public-Private Collaboration
Founded to tackle urban congestion and decarbonise home-to-work commutes, Enakl has developed proprietary technology to design, deploy, and manage optimised shared transport networks in real-time. After 18 months of R&D, the platform is now fully operational.
In a significant milestone in 2025, Enakl secured its first pilot public contract with the Casablanca–Settat Region, validating its model and marking a key step in its expansion with public-sector stakeholders.
