Healthtech company Docline, co-founded by Moroccan entrepreneur Omar Najid, has successfully closed a new funding round to accelerate its expansion. The round saw participation from Spanish Arcano Partners and Morocco’s CDG Invest, through its 212Founders programme, who joined an international and Moroccan syndicate that includes EmergingTech Ventures. This new capital will fuel Docline’s growth in Morocco, a key market undergoing rapid digitalisation, and strengthen its international presence, particularly in Francophone Africa.
A Strategic B2B Digital Health Platform
Docline provides a comprehensive B2B Virtual Care solution tailored for insurance payers and corporate clients. The platform is regulated in both Morocco and Europe, ensuring secure remote health services that comply with international standards such as GDPR and HIPAA. The company has built a strong track record through collaborations with major insurers and corporations, demonstrating significant results in both operational efficiency and patient satisfaction. “Our ambition today is to apply this know-how to the Moroccan healthcare system,” stated Omar Najid, CEO and co-founder of Docline. “We want to offer insurers and employers innovative solutions that facilitate rapid and equitable access to care.”
Targeting Morocco’s Corporate and Insurance Sectors
In Morocco, Docline is focusing on the corporate and insurance sectors with its virtual clinic offering, which includes personalised health and wellness programmes. These initiatives cover physical, mental, and nutritional health, providing organisations with tailored solutions to enhance employee well-being. Amidst the generalisation of Mandatory Health Insurance (AMO) and growing demand for services, Docline positions itself as a strategic partner for insurance companies. The platform simplifies access to quality care by managing the entire remote care journey, from video consultations and electronic prescriptions to patient follow-up.
Leveraging Proven International Expertise
Docline’s expansion into Morocco is backed by a model already proven successful in Spain. The company has over a decade of experience in the Spanish digital health market, managing a network of more than 6,000 healthcare professionals and having served over 2 million patients. This extensive international experience is now being deployed in Morocco, where the platform already serves more than 22,000 beneficiaries, guaranteeing care in under 15 minutes and achieving a 97% patient satisfaction rate.
A Vision Fueled by Innovation
With this latest funding, Docline plans to increase its investment in artificial intelligence to improve the efficiency and personalisation of its services in Morocco and beyond. The company also aims to strengthen its strategic partnerships to make telemedicine an accessible solution for everyone, everywhere, solidifying its ambition to become a leading digital health player across Africa and Europe.
