In a significant move to bolster Egypt’s entrepreneurial landscape, the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA) is collaborating with the CEO Women Business Club to organize a dedicated “Entrepreneurs Zone” at the fourth edition of the CEO Women conference. Held under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, this year’s conference focuses on the theme “Women in Tech,” aiming to cultivate a new generation of female business leaders in technology.

A Strategic Partnership to Empower Entrepreneurs

The initiative is a collaborative effort between MSMEDA, the CEO Women Business Club, the American University in Cairo’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (AUC CEI), and the AUC Onsi Sawiris School of Business. This partnership underscores a coordinated strategy among governmental, private, and academic institutions to enhance economic empowerment for women and equip them with the resources to launch and scale their ventures, particularly within the technology sector.

The Entrepreneurs Zone A Platform for Growth

The Entrepreneurs Zone is designed to be a dynamic hub for the startup ecosystem. It will serve as a dedicated platform for showcasing the success stories of young entrepreneurs and providing a unique opportunity for startups to network directly with potential investors. The zone will feature a designated area for a select number of founders to exhibit their innovative products and solutions, with a special focus on projects that support sustainable development goals.

Fostering Public-Private and Academic Synergy

Mona Morad, Founder and CEO of CEO Women, praised the collaboration, stating that it represents the constructive synergy between the private sector, government bodies, and academic institutions in empowering women to lead digital transformation and corporate growth. She emphasized that MSMEDA’s involvement is a testament to the importance of integrated efforts to support the business environment and place a strong focus on women-led enterprises. Since its inception in 2020, the CEO Women conference has evolved into a prominent regional platform for female leadership and innovation, attracting ministers, ambassadors, and executives from over 30 countries. This year, France will be the guest of honor, celebrating the growing Egyptian-French economic partnership.
