NAMA Launches Advanced Investment Programme to Cultivate Female Investors in UAE

3 Min Read

NAMA Women Advancement has announced the launch of its ‘Investment Programme’, a new initiative designed to equip women in the UAE with practical investment skills and financial acumen. Developed in collaboration with the Emirates Institute of Finance, the advanced-level course aims to empower participants to build personal investment portfolios, contributing to both their financial independence and the nation’s economic diversification goals.

Building on Financial Foundations

The ‘Investment Programme’ serves as an intermediate-level extension of NAMA’s established ‘Advanced Financial Literacy Programme’. It specifically targets 30 women who have already completed the introductory course, ensuring a cohort ready to engage with more complex financial concepts. This progressive structure underscores NAMA’s commitment to building a deep and sustainable talent pool of financially savvy women.

A Practical Approach to Portfolio Building

The 32-hour training programme is structured across eight intensive, four-hour sessions delivered in Arabic. The curriculum moves beyond theory, focusing on hands-on learning through case studies and expert-led guidance. Participants will delve into key investment vehicles available in the UAE, including stocks, mutual funds, fixed deposits, and real estate. A significant focus is placed on understanding diversification strategies, calculating Return on Investment (ROI), and navigating local stock markets like the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) and Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX). To ensure real-world application, the programme includes two one-on-one mentoring sessions with investment experts within two months of completion.

Strengthening the National Economy

This initiative aligns with the UAE’s broader strategy of fostering a dynamic and inclusive economy. By empowering women to become active investors, NAMA aims to expand the base of contributors to national growth. H.E. Mariam Al Hammadi, Director General of NAMA, stated, “Informed investing not only enhances personal savings but also strengthens family stability, community financial security, and contributes to national economic growth by expanding the base of active contributors. This initiative is part of our mission to ensure women across the UAE have access to practical knowledge that enables them to shape their financial futures with confidence.”
