The National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP) has officially opened registrations for the fourth edition of its flagship entrepreneurship program, “A Thousand Miles.” The initiative calls on ambitious entrepreneurs and innovators with ideas in the industrial, mining, and logistics sectors to participate and transform their concepts into tangible, high-growth ventures.

A Strategic Focus On Defense Industries

This fourth edition introduces a new specialized track for the development of defense products. The track aims to build local capabilities in defense manufacturing and foster collaboration between domestic and international stakeholders.
Launched in partnership with the General Authority for Defense Development and the National Academy of Military Industries, this stream will provide participating entrepreneurs with access to advanced infrastructure, specialized laboratories, and product testing facilities. Participants will also be connected with leading experts, consultants, and key industry players to maximize their project’s potential for success.

Empowering The Kingdom’s Next Wave Of Innovators

Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources and Chairman of NIDLP, emphasized the program’s core mission to democratize opportunities within the Kingdom’s key industrial sectors.

“The idea for A Thousand Miles came from the desire to empower entrepreneurs and emerging ideas. It is an initiative that proves the opportunities in NIDLP’s sectors are not limited to large players but are available to entrepreneurs and innovators,” stated Al-Khorayef.

“The A Thousand Miles program has successfully created these opportunities for them by working across different systems within the program’s scope and government frameworks. Empowering entrepreneurship is one of the program’s most important goals, and we are seeing its results on the ground, starting with providing an incubating and stimulating environment for the targeted sectors, along with support and follow-up through various stages to ensure the accelerated growth of projects and their presentation to investors.”
