In a significant move to foster local innovation, the office of the Wali of Al Mazyunah, in collaboration with the National Cadres Institute for Training and Qualification, has successfully concluded its “Entrepreneurship and Startup Management Fundamentals” program. The five-day initiative equipped 40 aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners in Tawsanat with the essential skills to launch and manage successful ventures.

The closing ceremony was held under the patronage of His Excellency Saif bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, the Wali of Al Mazyunah, and attended by several government officials, underscoring the strategic importance of nurturing entrepreneurial talent at the local level.

Fostering Foundational Skills

The program was designed to provide a comprehensive educational experience, guiding participants through the entire entrepreneurial journey. The curriculum covered critical stages, from creative ideation and selecting a viable project concept to developing robust business plans and conducting economic feasibility studies.

Furthermore, the training delved into advanced topics such as strategic management and effective risk mitigation for early-stage startups, ensuring participants received a well-rounded understanding of the challenges and opportunities in today’s business landscape.

A Platform for Practical Application

A key component of the initiative was its focus on practical application. The program provided a platform for participants to develop and present their own integrated project ideas to an audience. An accompanying exhibition allowed them to showcase their products and concepts, offering a valuable opportunity to gain feedback and build confidence.

This hands-on approach aimed to bridge the gap between theory and practice, empowering attendees to take tangible steps toward launching their businesses.

Strategic Support for the Local Economy

This initiative is part of a broader strategy to support Omani entrepreneurs and cultivate a culture of innovation and self-employment. By empowering individuals to transform their ideas into viable projects, the program directly contributes to strengthening the local economy and fostering the growth of the SME sector in the Wilayat of Al Mazyunah.
