Oman Debuts First Agentic AI Platform to Transform Recruitment

3 Min Read

In a significant step towards modernizing human resources, the Sultanate of Oman has launched ‘Enfinity’, its first Agentic AI for recruitment. The launch was announced at a high-level event hosted by the Oman Society for Human Resources Management (OSHRM) in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour and Saudi-based HR tech firm Elevatus.

A Strategic Leap for Omani HR

The initiative aligns with Oman Vision 2040, which emphasizes digital transformation and human capital development as key pillars for a competitive, knowledge-based economy. Dr Ghalib bin Saif al Hosni, Chairman of OSHRM and Chief Human Resources Officer at Omantel, highlighted the evolving role of HR from an administrative function to a strategic enabler of national competitiveness.

“Empowering HR leaders with intelligent digital solutions has become essential in responding to evolving workforce expectations, rapid technological advancements, and increasing demand for efficiency and transparency in recruitment practices,” stated Dr al Hosni.

Dr Wail bin Saif al Harrasi, Founder and CEO of Wabas Enterprises and Investments, echoed this sentiment, stressing that integrating advanced technologies is a strategic necessity for ensuring resilience and long-term growth in the Sultanate.

Introducing Enfinity The Autonomous Hiring Agent

Eng Nadine Zureikat, Chief Revenue Officer at Elevatus, introduced Enfinity and outlined its capabilities. Unlike conventional AI that automates specific tasks, Agentic AI is designed to execute complex, end-to-end processes with autonomy and governance.

During a live demonstration, attendees saw how Enfinity operates as a goal-driven recruitment model. The system receives hiring objectives, analyzes organizational data, and autonomously activates recruitment workflows across enterprise systems. It manages the entire hiring cycle, from sourcing and screening to interviews and offer issuance, all while adhering to internal policies, compliance standards, and regulatory frameworks. Human oversight remains a key component, with final decision-making authority retained by institutional leadership.

Early Adopters Report Significant Gains

Representatives from Omani institutions already using the Elevatus platform shared their positive experiences. Eng Ali al Lawati, Head of Omantel Academy, and Safiya Adam, Acting Head of Human Resources at Oman Flour Mills, reported measurable improvements following their adoption of the technology.

Both speakers highlighted enhanced hiring timelines, better selection quality, an improved candidate experience, and greater overall operational efficiency. They emphasized that the digital system has enabled more data-driven decision-making and allowed their HR teams to shift focus from routine administrative work to strategic workforce planning and talent development.
