The Sultanate of Oman has launched a new long-term cultural visa, allowing foreign artists, researchers, and creatives to reside in the country for up to ten years. The cultural visa offers flexible long-term options to suit various needs. The visa can be issued for one, five, or ten years, with a consistent fee structure of OMR 50 ($130) per year.
A key provision is that the visa must be utilised within three months of its issuance, after which it will be considered invalid. The program also includes a cultural joining visa, allowing the main applicant’s spouse or first-degree relatives to accompany them.
Who Can Apply
The visa is specifically targeted at foreigners entering Oman for cultural purposes. This includes individuals engaged in a wide range of activities, such as:
