Oman-based technology scale-up eMushrif has successfully closed a $7.5 million funding round to accelerate its growth across the Gulf region. The investment was led by Jasoor Ventures, with significant participation from Phaze Ventures, Annex Investment, Ithca Group, and IDO Investment, alongside several private investors. This capital injection marks a major milestone for the company as it seeks to replicate its domestic success in larger regional markets, specifically targeting aggressive expansion into Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
Scaling Operations Across the Gulf
With a proven track record in its home market of Oman and neighboring Kuwait, eMushrif is utilizing the fresh funds to scale its operations in the region’s most competitive markets. The company currently serves over 120,000 students across public and private schools, collaborating with government entities and private operators to ensure student safety. The expansion strategy focuses on deploying its integrated safety stack in the UAE and Saudi Arabia while simultaneously enhancing its product development capabilities and operational infrastructure in its existing markets.
Modernizing Transport with AI and IoT
School transportation is a high-stakes sector demanding rigorous accountability and safety standards. eMushrif addresses these challenges by modernizing legacy infrastructure with cutting-edge technology. The platform utilizes Internet of Things (IoT) hardware, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and real-time data analytics to provide transparency and control to parents, school administrators, and transport operators. By digitizing the ecosystem, the company ensures regulatory compliance and operational reliability in a sector that has historically lagged in technology adoption.
Investor Confidence in Market Leadership
The involvement of prominent regional investors underscores the market’s confidence in eMushrif’s category-defining solution. Abdullah Al Shaksy, Co-founder and CEO at Phaze Ventures, noted that the investment reflects a conviction in eMushrif’s leadership within a mission-critical market, citing the team’s consistent execution and the product’s ability to compound in value as it scales. Adnan Alshuaili, CEO of eMushrif, emphasized the massive opportunity ahead, noting that the multi-billion-dollar global market for school safety technology is driven by an increasing focus on compliance and digital transformation.
