A graduation ceremony was held today for 10 startups from the Oman Environmental Innovation Platform accelerator, where four of the companies presented their investment solutions to investors and experts. The event also honored the three winners of the “be’ah tek” program, an initiative by the Oman Environmental Services Holding Company.

Meet the Winners of the ‘be’ah tek’ Program
The ceremony celebrated three innovative projects from the “be’ah tek” program:
- 1st Place: ZaytTech – A pioneering innovation that transforms household cooking oil waste into a valuable resource, using IoT and food delivery networks to provide a low-cost, scalable, and sustainable solution in Oman.
- 2nd Place: Zithri – An innovation that converts used cooking oil into environmentally friendly 3D printing filaments, which helps reduce plastic waste and carbon emissions while ensuring high quality and competitive cost.
- 3rd Place: EcoSort – A project focused on the educational aspect of waste management by developing smart, affordable bins to address waste management challenges in schools, aiming to create cleaner environments and promote a culture of recycling among the younger generation.
A Platform for a Circular Economy
Both the “be’ah tek” program and the “Oman Environmental Innovation Platform” accelerator are dedicated to supporting startups and SMEs in the fields of the circular economy. Their shared mission is to transform environmental challenges into innovative economic opportunities by investing in the potential of youth and adopting modern technologies. The ceremony was held under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Saif bin Abdullah Al-Haddabi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation.
