Branded as Orange Satellite, the nationwide offering is built to close connectivity gaps in regions where laying fiber or establishing mobile towers remains logistically challenging. The service provides packages tailored for both everyday consumers and businesses operating outside major urban centers.
By integrating Eutelsat’s latest-generation KONNECT satellite, Orange Tunisie can offer higher data throughput and better signal stability compared to previous satellite iterations. This ensures that users in isolated zones receive bandwidth capable of supporting daily digital applications and business operations.
Scaling LEO and Satellite Capacity Across MENA
The Tunisian rollout is part of a broader, multi-year strategy executed by Orange Middle East and Africa. Established in 2024, the overarching partnership with Eutelsat has already expanded reliable broadband access into markets with persistent infrastructure hurdles, including Jordan, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Orange is further scaling its satellite capabilities to meet institutional demand. Through a strategic 2025 agreement with the Eutelsat Group, the telecom operator will utilize the OneWeb low Earth orbit (LEO) constellation. This specific alignment targets the complex connectivity requirements of government and enterprise clients across the Middle East and Africa, positioning satellite technology as a primary driver of digital inclusion in difficult-to-reach markets.
