Palestinian leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs convened at the Green Forward Conference 2025, an event organized by Flow Accelerator in partnership with SPARK. Held under the patronage of the Palestinian Ministry of Labor, the conference united stakeholders with a single vision: to build a greener, more circular economy and foster sustainable innovation across Palestine.
High-Level Dialogue on Green Policy
The conference theme, “Strengthening Business Support Organisations Networks for a Green and Circular Economy in Palestine,” was anchored by high-level discussions. The main panel, “Unlocking the Green Economy,” featured H.E. Dr. Enas Atari, Minister of Labor; H.E. Eng. Bashar Al-Saifi, Undersecretary at the Ministry of National Economy; H.E. Eng. Ahmad Abu Thaher, Deputy Chairman of the Environment Quality Authority; and H.E. Ambassador Alexandre Stutzmann, EU Representative. This session set a clear national agenda for Palestine’s green transition.
Building the Innovation Ecosystem
Further panels explored the practical implementation of this vision. Discussions focused on building a robust green innovation ecosystem, with insights from Dr. Jad Isaac, Director General of ARIJ, and Ala Alaeddin, Executive Board Member at the Palestinian Technopark. Another key session highlighted the private sector’s crucial role, featuring leaders from Palestine Prosperity Investment & Development (Izdehar), APIC, and The National Bank (TNB), who explored pathways for green financing, investment, and corporate responsibility.
Startups Leading the Green Shift
The event prominently showcased the Palestinian entrepreneurs already driving change. A dedicated panel on “Innovating for Impact” featured the founders of several green-tech startups, including Maysara Abdullah (Snipe), Oqab Jaber (3D Watan), Mahmoud Masaeed (Al-Masaeed Agricultural Equipment Company), and Shatha Musallem (Agritopia for Agricultural Technology). Additional pitching sessions highlighted innovative and sustainable business models from the founders of Colea, Ommar El Ard, Laheq Halak, and Dawerha.
A Unified Commitment to Action
The conference concluded with a significant and tangible outcome: the signing of eight Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) among various Business Support Organizations (BSOs). This act formalized a unified commitment from the entire ecosystem to actively collaborate and accelerate Palestine’s shift toward a sustainable and circular economy.
