Qatar Development Bank (QDB) has launched Reyada, a unified digital portal designed to empower local companies by providing a comprehensive suite of enterprise development and specialized training services. Announced at a press conference at Scale7 Studio in Msheireb Downtown Doha, the initiative represents a significant milestone in QDB’s strategy to accelerate digital transformation and fortify Qatar’s national entrepreneurship ecosystem.
A Strategic Move for Qatar’s Ecosystem
The Reyada portal serves as a central hub for entrepreneurs and business owners, offering a user-friendly interface to access advisory services, business development tools, and a dedicated platform to connect directly with service providers for competitive offers. This strategic launch aligns with the objectives of Qatar’s Third National Development Strategy 2024–2030, aiming to enhance operational efficiency and foster sustainable business growth across the private sector.
Mr. Abdulrahman bin Hesham Al-Sowaidi, CEO of Qatar Development Bank, commented on the launch, stating, “Today, we are elevating our enterprise development services and support for the national entrepreneurship ecosystem to a new level of efficiency, reliability, and digital transformation through the launch of Reyada Portal. The Portal offers a comprehensive range of services, programs, and intelligent tools that address all the needs of entrepreneurs aspiring to establish new projects or expand their businesses.”
Al-Sowaidi added, “Through the portal’s role as a link between business owners and listed service providers, we are confident it will be a catalyst that enhances the resilience and vitality of the private sector and its ability to evolve and integrate roles, thereby stimulating economic diversification efforts in Qatar.”
The Two Pillars of Reyada
The portal provides centralized access to development and training services through two primary tracks: the Reyada Advisory Platform and the Reyada Academy. This dual approach ensures that entrepreneurs receive both direct developmental support and the foundational skills needed for long-term success.
Empowering Through Advice and Grants
The Reyada Advisory Platform is focused on enterprise development, offering a variety of tools and products. It features a support framework that provides financial grants to help SMEs cover a portion of their costs, including services for building operational capabilities, localizing supply chains, and participating in exhibitions to explore growth opportunities. The platform also functions as a marketplace, connecting companies with a curated list of experts and service providers who can submit offers based on each company’s specific needs.
Building Skills With Reyada Academy
The second track, the Reyada Academy, delivers comprehensive and specialized training programs that blend theoretical knowledge with practical application. The academy is designed to build entrepreneurial capabilities in key areas such as business model refinement, operational excellence, marketing and sales, and financial planning. By equipping founders with these essential skills, the academy aims to improve decision-making and prepare projects for sustainable growth. The bank’s recently launched Financial Literacy Program has already been integrated into the Reyada Academy, with more specialized programs to be added over time.
