Global media group The Business Year and sustainable developer Msheireb Properties have announced the launch of the “AI for Good Challenge – Qatar.” This premier startup competition will be a central feature of the upcoming Qatar Investment and Innovation Conference, scheduled for November 3, 2025, in Doha’s Barahat Msheireb.

The challenge aims to assemble the most promising pre-seed and early-seed stage startups from across the GCC that are leveraging artificial intelligence to tackle global challenges in alignment with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. By showcasing innovative, AI-driven solutions with tangible societal impact, the initiative underscores Qatar’s commitment to innovation-led growth and its leadership role in the regional digital economy. The competition is held in partnership with the “AI for Good – YAILs Qatar” initiative.
A Platform For Emerging AI Ventures
Participating startups will compete live in Doha, pitching their ventures to a panel of expert judges. The evaluation criteria will focus on the quality of the founding team, product and technology innovation, business model strength, potential social impact, and presentation skills. Finalists will deliver three-minute pitches, with the winner being announced during the conference’s closing session. While the challenge does not include a cash prize, it offers invaluable opportunities, including professional mentorship programs, direct exposure to global investors, integration into the UN innovation ecosystem, and significant media coverage through official partners.

The initiative has secured strategic support from Qatar’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, alongside partnerships with leading international venture capital firms.
