Qatar’s Meeza Secures $205 Million Data Centre Deal With Global Hyperscaler

Meeza, Qatar’s leading provider of data centres and managed IT services, has announced a landmark agreement worth QAR 750 million ($205.54 million) with a major global hyperscaler and cloud service provider. This strategic partnership marks a significant step in reinforcing Qatar’s growing reputation as a regional hub for digital infrastructure and a prime destination for global technology investments.

A Strategic Partnership for Digital Transformation

The agreement will see Meeza provide 6 megawatts of data centre services in the first phase of development for a new campus. The deal is a cornerstone of Meeza’s strategy to support Qatar’s national digital transformation agenda by attracting world-class technology partners. The new data centre is designed to meet the highest international standards for reliability and efficiency, capable of supporting sophisticated cloud and AI workloads.

Phased Development for Cloud and AI

Work is currently underway on the initial phase of the new data centre campus, which will deliver the first 6 megawatts of capacity. This infrastructure is specifically designed to support advanced applications in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and big data processing. Looking ahead, the project includes progressive expansion, with plans to reach a total capacity of 44 megawatts in the coming years to meet growing demand.
