Qatar’s leading managed IT services provider, Meeza, is aggressively expanding its footprint with a plan to quadruple its data centre capacity over the next four years. Driven by an intense regional appetite for high-performance computing, cloud services, and secure local data storage, the company is moving quickly to deploy new infrastructure across the country. The board formally backed the massive scale-up at its recent annual general assembly, where shareholders also approved an 8.5% cash dividend.

Scaling Qatar’s Data Centre Infrastructure
With local demand far outpacing supply, Meeza has structured an ambitious timeline to bring substantial new IT capacity online. The company’s M-Vault 4 facility is currently undergoing a 4-megawatt (MW) expansion, fully pre-leased and on track for delivery in the first half of 2026.
Simultaneously, Meeza is building a massive 24MW flagship data centre campus in Um Garn. The first 6MW phase of this development is slated to become operational by the end of 2027.
The company is also finalizing designs for M-Vault 7, a 16MW facility located within the Qatar Science and Technology Park, with construction expected to kick off later this year. To maintain financial agility, Meeza is relying entirely on cash reserves and Shariah-compliant financing to fund these strategic capital expenditures.
Capitalizing on Low-Cost Energy and AI Growth
Power consumption remains a critical bottleneck for digital infrastructure, accounting for roughly 40% of data centre operational costs globally. However, Qatar’s low-cost energy environment offers Meeza a distinct competitive advantage, enabling sustainable operations with notably higher margins.
This cost efficiency is allowing the company to attract heavy enterprise and government workloads. The current expansion closely aligns with the broader Qatar National Vision 2030 and Digital Agenda 2030, which mandate robust digital infrastructure to diversify the local economy.
“We will continue to strengthen our data centre capabilities to meet growing demand for artificial intelligence technologies, high-performance computing, cloud services, and cybersecurity solutions, both within Qatar and internationally, across all industries,” stated Meeza Chairman Sheikh Hamad bin Abdulla bin Jassim al-Thani.
