The Summer Innovation Camp 2025, a month-long program aimed at fostering entrepreneurship among Qatari youth, has successfully concluded at the Qatar Chamber. The initiative, organized by the Young Entrepreneurs Club in collaboration with the Qatar Chamber and supported by key partners including Qatar Development Bank (QDB) and Snoonu, provided intensive training for 70 aspiring founders.
By the Numbers
The camp provided a comprehensive and collaborative experience for its participants:
- 70 Participants: The number of high school and university students who completed the program.
- 1 Month Duration: The length of the intensive camp, combining workshops and practical field experience.
- 5+ Key Partners: The initiative was a major collaboration between the Young Entrepreneurs Club, Qatar Chamber, QDB, Qatar University, and Snoonu.
A Comprehensive Blend of Theory and Practice
The camp offered a dynamic learning environment that combined applied learning with hands-on engagement. Participants took part in diverse workshops on startups and career paths held at prominent locations like the Qatar Business Incubation Center (QBIC) and Qatar University. The program also included insightful field visits, such as a guided tour of a factory supported by QDB, to give students a real-world understanding of the industrial and entrepreneurial landscape.
Building the Next Generation of Qatari Leaders
The initiative was designed to build a creative and entrepreneurial generation by enhancing leadership, teamwork, and critical thinking skills. Fatima Issa Al Kuwari, Head of Training and Development at the Qatar Chamber, stated that the camp gave participants “a realistic opportunity to interact with the business environment and learn from experiences that will inspire them in building their future projects.” Abdulrahman Tariq Al Emadi, Director at the Young Entrepreneurs Club, added that the program helps “empower youth to be future leaders in the fields of entrepreneurship and innovation.”
Connecting Youth with the Business Ecosystem
The camp concluded with a ceremony where participants received certificates of completion. A key feature of the closing events was a Jobs and Recruitment Fair, which provided the 70 graduates with an invaluable opportunity to interact directly with startups, established entrepreneurs, and experts from various sectors, helping them take the next step in their professional journeys.
