The Qatar Research, Development, and Innovation (QRDI) Council has officially announced the 20 awardees of the inaugural Small Business Innovation Grant (SBIG) cycle during Web Summit Qatar 2026. This competitive program awarded a total of QAR 30 million in grants to a diverse group of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to accelerate early-stage tech development and drive commercialization within the country.
Empowering Local Innovation Across Vital Sectors
The first cohort of SBIG awardees features companies developing solutions in critical areas such as HealthTech, ClimateTech, Artificial Intelligence, and Smart City solutions. Each selected SME will receive support to advance their novel ideas from the conceptual stage toward market-ready products and services.
