Reboot01 Deepens Cybersecurity Talent Pool With Hands-On Youth Training in Bahrain

3 Min Read

Bahrain’s pioneering tech institute and talent accelerator, Reboot Coding Institute (Reboot01), has successfully trained over 400 Bahraini youths in advanced cybersecurity following its second year of participation in the Arab International Cybersecurity Conference & Exhibition (AICS) 2025. The initiative marks a significant milestone in the Kingdom’s efforts to cultivate a new generation of industry-ready tech professionals.

Hands-On Training for Real-World Threats

At the region’s leading digital security event, Reboot01 designed and delivered two exclusive, hands-on training modules that simulated real-world challenges. The first, an “AI Security Challenge,” immersed participants in prompt engineering techniques to defend AI systems against sophisticated attacks, culminating in a team-based competition to identify and fortify vulnerabilities in real time.

The second module, a “Cloud DevOps Rescue Mission,” placed participants in a simulated live crisis on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Teams were tasked with restoring critical systems, patching security flaws, and stabilizing services under intense pressure, providing an experiential journey that blended technical skill with creativity and teamwork.

Fostering a New Generation of Tech Talent

The training underscores Reboot01’s commitment to moving beyond theoretical knowledge and building practical, in-demand expertise within Bahrain’s emerging talent pool.

Yanal Jallad, Managing Director of Reboot Coding Institute, commented on the initiative, “At Reboot, our commitment extends beyond teaching programming, it’s about building expertise. Cybersecurity now drives every digital interaction and economic activity, and the need for skilled professionals has never been greater. Our participation at AICS reflects our investment in empowering Bahrain’s youth with hands-on, industry-relevant training that builds confidence and sparks genuine interest in pursuing careers in technology and cybersecurity.”

A Pillar of Bahrain’s Tech Ecosystem

Supported by the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), Reboot01 has become a cornerstone in developing Bahrain’s digital workforce. The institute is behind several key ecosystem initiatives, including the Zain Bahrain AI Hackathon, the National Cybersecurity Challenge, and the AI First Training Program at Youth City.

Producing over 300 full-stack developers annually, Reboot01 boasts a 100% employment rate for its graduates, who have secured roles at leading organizations such as JP Morgan, ila Bank, Al Salam Bank, KPMG’s AI Department, and Raincode. The institute’s next selection pool for aspiring developers opens on January 11, 2026.
