Global fintech giant Revolut has announced the launch of AIR, its new AI-powered assistant designed to simplify daily financial management for its users through a conversational chat interface. The tool is initially rolling out to customers in the UK, with plans for a broader international expansion that could soon include the MENA region, supported by the company’s growing presence in Dubai.
Quick Facts
- New AI-powered assistant named AIR launched.
- Reported $2.3B profit on $6B revenue in 2025.
- Dubai hub to serve as base for MENA expansion.
Conversational Banking with AIR
AIR allows users to manage their finances by asking simple questions like “Where’s my money going?” or giving commands such as “Freeze my card.” The assistant is built to handle a range of functions, including analyzing spending habits, managing recurring payments, checking foreign exchange rates, and setting budget limits.
Revolut emphasized that security is a core component of the new feature. All personal data is kept private and is not used for third-party training, while sensitive actions are protected by biometric authentication.
“This is the future of the Revolut experience — smarter, faster and completely intuitive,” said Antoine Le Nel, Global Chief Growth and Marketing Officer at Revolut.
The Race for AI in Fintech
Revolut’s move comes as AI adoption accelerates across the financial services sector. A recent PYMNTS Intelligence report found that 48.5% of frequent AI users now prefer conversational tools over traditional banking interfaces. The launch places Revolut in direct competition with major financial institutions like Chase and Bank of America, which are also developing their own AI-driven assistants to improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
The company’s strong financial performance, with $2.3 billion in profit on $6 billion in revenue for 2025 and $365 billion in business transaction volume, provides a solid foundation for investing in such advanced technologies.
Dubai Hub Paves the Way for MENA Rollout
The launch of AIR has significant implications for the MENA region. Revolut recently opened a 17,800-square-foot innovation hub in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) to support its regional ambitions.
With applications for UAE licenses already underway and key executives relocating to the city, the Dubai hub is positioned as the launchpad for Revolut’s services in the Middle East. The introduction of AIR in the region could significantly accelerate digital banking adoption in key financial hubs, bringing advanced, AI-driven financial tools to users across MENA.
