Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), represented by its Digital Entrepreneurship Center “Code,” has launched the seventh cohort of its Tech Founders program, welcoming 20 founders from emerging digital startups. The initiative is a key part of the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to empower entrepreneurs and build their leadership, executive, and technical capabilities.
A Global Approach to Founder Development
The program is designed to accelerate the development of participants’ skills in building and scaling technology companies. This is achieved through a multi-faceted approach that includes international travel for specialized training bootcamps, hands-on workshops, and interactive sessions with global experts and investors.
A key feature of this seventh cohort is an international incubation program in London. This will provide founders with direct exposure to one of the world’s leading startup ecosystems, allowing them to learn global best practices and network with advanced entrepreneurial communities to support the sustainable growth of their companies.
Building a Collaborative Community
To kick off the program, an orientation session was held at the “Code” headquarters. The session outlined the program’s tracks and milestones and provided a valuable opportunity for the new cohort to connect and exchange experiences with alumni from previous batches, fostering an integrated and supportive entrepreneurial community.
Driving Saudi’s Digital Economy
Tech Founders operates under the umbrella of The Multiverse programs, which aim to invest in and cultivate national entrepreneurial talent. By equipping founders with the necessary tools and knowledge, the initiative aims to help them build digital companies that can compete both locally and globally. This directly contributes to the growth of Saudi Arabia’s digital economy and reinforces the Kingdom’s position as a global hub for entrepreneurship and innovation.
