LinkedIn has launched a new nationwide digital competition in Saudi Arabia, titled “My Vision 2030,” designed to encourage students and early-career professionals to showcase their contributions and aspirations related to the Kingdom’s transformative Vision 2030 plan.
The four-week competition, running until December 15, is held under the patronage of King Saud University and in partnership with prominent Saudi companies including flynas, Banque Saudi Fransi (BSF), and Bupa Arabia.
Fostering a Dialogue on National Ambitions
Participants are invited to create content answering two key questions: how they are actively contributing to Vision 2030 within their field, and what their personal ambitions are for the year 2030. Submissions will take the form of LinkedIn posts, using photos or videos complemented by written narratives.
The initiative will focus on three critical sectors outlined in the national vision: aviation, finance and banking, and health and quality of life. This targeted approach aims to generate insightful content that reflects the direct impact of young Saudis in these key industries.
Strategic Partnerships Powering the Initiative
The collaboration with leading Saudi institutions underscores the competition’s significance. Professor Dr. Ali Mohammed Masmali, Acting President of King Saud University, highlighted the partnership’s role in deepening community engagement and building strategic ties with the private sector. He described the competition as a valuable opportunity for the university’s community to showcase their ideas and aspirations.
Representatives from the partner companies also emphasized the initiative’s alignment with their talent development goals. Mazen Al-Bsesy, Head of Talent Acquisition at Bupa Arabia, noted the program reinforces efforts to support young Saudis in health-related fields. Similarly, Jowharah Al-Theyeb, Head of Talent Acquisition at BSF, stated it provides a platform for participants to demonstrate creativity and gain exposure in the banking sector.
Empowering the Next Generation of Professionals
Ali Matar, LinkedIn’s Head for the Middle East and Emerging Markets, commented that the initiative reflects the growing engagement of young Saudis with the Kingdom’s economic and social transformation. He stated that LinkedIn aims to spotlight creative, purpose-driven content while supporting young professionals in their role in advancing national priorities.
Finalists will be celebrated at a recognition event at King Saud University in January. Winners will receive valuable prizes, including professional training opportunities with the partner companies, LinkedIn Premium subscriptions, and mentorship from LinkedIn specialists to help accelerate their career growth.
