Saudi Arabia is set to host the annual “Fikra” competition for the first time in 2026, bringing the premier youth entrepreneurship event to its capital, Riyadh. The announcement, made during the 2025 Fikra competition ceremony in Egypt, underscores the Kingdom’s growing role as a central hub for innovation and its commitment to empowering young Arab talent. The event is organized in partnership with INJAZ Al-Arab, a member of the global Junior Achievement Worldwide organization.
The 2025 competition, held under the patronage of the Egyptian Prime Minister, brought together over 150 students from 14 Arab nations, celebrating a spirit of creativity and entrepreneurial drive that the Fikra competition aims to foster across the region.
A Strategic Move For The Kingdom’s Ecosystem
Hosting the Fikra competition is a significant step that aligns directly with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which prioritizes youth empowerment and the development of a diversified, knowledge-based economy. The event will position the Kingdom as a leading destination for the Arab world’s brightest young minds, providing them with a platform to develop and showcase their innovative projects.
“We are proud that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will be a destination for entrepreneurs in the Arab world through this event, which enhances the Kingdom’s position as a regional center for innovation and entrepreneurship, thanks to the qualitative initiatives launched by the Kingdom within the framework of Saudi Vision 2030,” said Dr. Ghassan Al-Sulaiman, Chairman of the Board of INJAZ Saudi.
A Landmark 20th Anniversary Edition
The 2026 edition in Riyadh is poised to be an exceptional milestone. Dr. Al-Sulaiman noted that the event will coincide with INJAZ Al-Arab’s 20th anniversary of its Young Entrepreneurs Award, celebrating two decades of inspiring and empowering youth across the Arab world. This dual celebration will make the Riyadh competition a landmark event, reflecting a long journey of fostering innovation and leadership among the region’s next generation.
By hosting this significant regional event, Saudi Arabia reaffirms its commitment to creating a supportive environment that transforms creative ideas into tangible projects, contributing to a sustainable and dynamic economy.
