Saudi Esports Federation Launches 2026 Season With Over $1 Million Prize Pool

3 Min Read

The Saudi Esports Federation (SEF) has officially launched the 2026 Saudi eLeagues season, introducing a revamped competition structure and a prize pool exceeding SAR 4 million (over $1 million). The initiative aims to bolster the Kingdom’s position as a global esports hub by creating a sustainable talent pipeline, from grassroots players to professional athletes.

This season will feature tournaments across 23 esports games and includes a strategic partnership with Yalla Group, which will serve as the presenting partner for the women’s league.

A New Four-Tier Competition Structure

The 2026 season moves away from a singular format to a tiered system designed to cater to various skill levels and communities. The new structure includes the Saudi eLeague Elite for top professional clubs, the Saudi eLeagues Challenger for semi-pro and community teams, the Yalla Saudi eLeague Women dedicated to female gamers, and the Saudi Fighting League for the fighting game community (FGC).

Key titles featured across the tiers include Rainbow Six Siege, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Valorant, Overwatch 2, Dota 2, League of Legends, Counter-Strike 2, PUBG Mobile, Tekken 8, and Street Fighter 6.

Million-Dollar Prize Pool and Club Championship

The substantial prize pool positions the Saudi eLeagues among the highest-paying regional circuits worldwide. A unique feature of this season is the Cross-Game Club Championship, where organizations accumulate points across all tournament tiers. The top-ranked club at the season’s conclusion will be awarded a grand prize of $270,000, creating an overarching competitive narrative.

Reigning champions Twisted Minds are expected to face stiff competition as the league’s high returns and growing viewership continue to attract a new wave of local and regional investors.

Explosive Viewership Growth

The league has demonstrated significant audience growth, signaling strong market resonance. Between the 2024 and 2025 seasons, watch time increased by 118%, while peak concurrent viewership skyrocketed by 675%. Rocket League remains the circuit’s most popular title, consistently drawing the largest live audiences. These metrics highlight the success of the league’s format in capturing the attention of the Middle East’s rapidly expanding gaming demographic.
