Saudi HealthTech Startup Madeed Secures $400K Pre-Seed to Pioneer Preventive Care

3 Min Read

Madeed, a Saudi-based startup focused on preventive health and longevity, has successfully raised $400,000 in a pre-seed funding round. The investment was led by Vision Ventures and saw participation from prominent Saudi angel investors, including Mashhoor Aldubayan, Mazen Aldarrab, and Abdulla Nadeem Elyas.

The new capital injection is earmarked to accelerate product development, broaden the startup’s network of clinical and laboratory partners across the Kingdom, and launch its inaugural cohort of members. Madeed is positioning itself to shift the healthcare paradigm from reactive treatment to proactive, data-driven prevention, with an initial focus on the Saudi market.

A Proactive Approach to Health

Madeed is building an end-to-end platform designed to identify disease risk factors long before symptoms manifest. The company’s core value proposition lies in its use of advanced laboratory testing and biomarker screening, which can detect indicators associated with hundreds of potential health conditions. By focusing on early detection, Madeed aims to empower individuals to take control of their long-term health and well-being.

From Biomarkers to Personalized Action Plans

The startup operates on a membership-based model that integrates advanced diagnostics with personalized intervention. Members undergo comprehensive blood analysis and biomarker testing, receiving detailed health reports and physician-led reviews. These reviews translate complex medical data into understandable and actionable insights across critical health domains like metabolic function, hormonal balance, cardiovascular risk, and inflammation markers.

Based on these results, Madeed develops personalized protocols for each member covering lifestyle adjustments, nutrition, and supplements. A key differentiator is the company’s customized daily supplement packs, which are formulated for each individual based on their specific lab results, offering a scientific alternative to generic wellness products.

Strategic Use of Capital and Market Entry

With the pre-seed funding secured, Madeed is transitioning into its early commercialization stage. The funds will be instrumental in building out its operational capacity and strengthening its provider network. The company is now focused on onboarding its first members in Saudi Arabia to test and refine its product-market fit before scaling its care model for a wider regional launch. The startup was founded by Dr. Adam Bataineh, who previously co-founded the US-based preventive health platform Span Health, which was later acquired by Eight Sleep.
