Founded by entrepreneurs Saleh Baarmah and Hamzah Bawazir, SBR was established to address key challenges in the Saudi job market, where nearly two million people seek employment annually. The founders identified common issues such as resumes failing to reflect true competencies and ineffective interviews with mismatched candidates. This led to the creation of their “Know Your Candidate” concept, a smart recruitment engine that objectively analyzes a candidate’s skills and experience, providing a deeper, more accurate assessment that goes beyond the traditional CV.

This partnership is positioned as a significant milestone in enhancing the recruitment journey through AI and contributing to the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. According to a spokesperson from SBR, “This agreement will help companies reduce wasted time and costs, and rely on precise data to select the right talent.” The collaboration follows the successful launch of SBR’s prototype in mid-August with over 20 companies. The founders view the startup as a national mission to demonstrate that a Saudi tech product can compete globally and make a tangible impact on the hiring landscape.
