The Social Development Bank (SDB) has finalized preparations for the second edition of its entrepreneurship and modern work-style forum, “DeveGo 2025.” The event is scheduled to take place from December 21-23 at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh, under the patronage of the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development and SDB Chairman, Eng. Ahmed Al-Rajhi.
Operating under the slogan “Don’t start from scratch… Start from DeveGo,” the forum serves as a significant national platform to explore the latest trends in entrepreneurship. It will feature a comprehensive program of dialogue sessions, workshops, and new initiatives aimed at empowering the Kingdom’s startup ecosystem.
A Global Stage for Local Innovation
DeveGo 2025 is set to host an elite group of local and international entrepreneurs, investors, experts, and government leaders. The event aims to enrich its program with global knowledge and pioneering experiences from various markets.
Prominent international speakers include Rebeca Grynspan, Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), futurist Ian Khan, and Jonathan Greechan, CEO of the Founder Institute. Their participation underscores the forum’s international character and its commitment to bringing world-class insights to the Saudi ecosystem.
Fostering Growth with New Initiatives and Funding
A key highlight of this year’s forum will be the launch of new financing products specifically designed to meet the needs of entrepreneurs and emerging enterprises. SDB will also be signing strategic agreements and partnerships aimed at stimulating new ventures and opening new pathways for growth.
The “NEXT UP Challenge” will provide 20 startups with the opportunity to pitch their solutions to a panel of experts. Furthermore, the third day of the forum will offer entrepreneurs a unique networking opportunity to connect with over 50 local investors, facilitating crucial connections between capital and innovation.
Celebrating Diverse Entrepreneurial Talent
The forum will also feature the “DeveGo Handicrafts” competition, which celebrates unique small businesses that have evolved into impactful success stories with clear economic and social contributions.
In collaboration with the Saudi Integrated Telecom Company (Salam), the event will also present the “Salam Award for Promising Projects.” This initiative encourages entrepreneurs to showcase their ventures through creative videos on social media, further boosting their visibility and reach.
A Hub for Knowledge and Networking
DeveGo 2025 is expected to attract over 25,000 visitors over its three-day run. Attendees will have access to specialized workshops and advisory sessions with more than 50 consultants and experts.
The venue will be structured into three main tracks to provide a comprehensive and interactive experience: the “Inspiration Zone” focusing on modern technologies and the creative economy; the “Growth Zone” covering modern business models and franchising; and the “Leadership Zone,” which will explore future economic trends, venture capital, and sustainability.
