Deep.SA, a Saudi-based artificial intelligence startup, has extended its pre-seed funding round with an investment from Riyadh-based venture capital firm Vision Ventures. This latest backing builds upon a SAR 4.5 million ($1.2 million) round announced in August 2025, which included Saudi real estate developer TAM and regional VC firm Raed Ventures.
The new investment will be used to accelerate product development, expand the company’s Saudi-built AI infrastructure, and scale its recently launched alPlatform.ai.
Bolstering Saudi’s Sovereign AI Capabilities
Founded in 2025 by Mohammed Daggas, Deep.SA is focused on developing sovereign AI infrastructure within the Kingdom. The company builds locally deployed AI platforms and models tailored for government and enterprise clients, addressing the critical need for data localisation, regulatory compliance, and digital sovereignty.
This approach is strategically aligned with Saudi Arabia’s National AI Strategy 2030, which prioritises secure and nationally-hosted AI systems as the country scales AI adoption across key sectors. By developing solutions that maintain data within national boundaries, Deep.SA enables organisations to adopt advanced AI confidently within protected, regulation-aligned environments.
Accelerating alPlatform.ai
The funding will be directed towards scaling its flagship product, alPlatform.ai, the company’s first locally developed AI productivity platform. The product is designed for organisations that require secure, governed, and efficient AI integration while maintaining full data sovereignty within Saudi Arabia.
alPlatform.ai enables companies to enhance employee productivity while enforcing strict corporate and regulatory AI governance policies. It offers the flexibility to use leading global models like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Anthropic, alongside Saudi-hosted models or custom-built models deployed either on the cloud or on-premise within an enterprise’s own data centres.
