Swvl Holdings, a global provider of tech-enabled mass transit solutions, has announced a new multi-year contract valued at up to $1.5 million in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The deal marks a significant step in the company’s strategy to expand its presence within the healthcare transportation sector across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
A Strategic Move into Healthcare Mobility
The three-year contract will focus on providing reliable transportation for patients, medical personnel, and essential equipment between various healthcare facilities. Swvl will leverage its proprietary technology platform, which features intelligent route planning, automated instant dispatching, and operational optimization tools to meet the sector’s demanding needs.
This initiative aims to address the critical requirements of urgent and time-sensitive transport while upholding stringent standards for safety, service quality, and operational transparency.
KSA as a Key Growth Market
Mostafa Kandil, CEO of Swvl, emphasized the strategic importance of the Saudi market for the company’s regional expansion.
“Saudi Arabia represents one of the most important strategic markets for the company’s growth in the region,” said Kandil. “Securing a healthcare transport contract worth up to $1.5 million reflects the escalating need for technical solutions that support accurate, reliable, and safe transport operations.”
Building on Regional Momentum
This new agreement in Saudi Arabia follows a series of successful contracts for Swvl in the GCC. The company has previously secured similar deals valued at $2.2 million in Kuwait and $5.5 million in the United Arab Emirates, underscoring a growing regional demand for its specialized B2B and B2G transportation solutions.
