The vast majority of the activity occurred on the Absher Individuals platform, which recorded 37,061,982 transactions. A key driver of this volume was the digital wallet feature, which accounted for 29,818,410 document reviews, demonstrating a clear shift towards digital-first verification for citizens, residents, and visitors. The Absher Business platform also saw significant usage, facilitating 2,577,543 transactions, cementing its position as an essential tool for the corporate sector.
Driving Efficiency Across Government Services
Absher’s impact is felt across multiple government directorates, streamlining processes and enhancing accessibility. The General Directorate of Public Security handled 3,583,977 transactions through the platform, while the General Directorate of Passports saw 1,962,909 transactions. The General Traffic Department was particularly active with 3,459,337 transactions, and the Ministry of Interior’s Civil Status Agency processed 561,464 transactions, showcasing the platform’s extensive integration into core civic services.
The Foundation of a National Digital Identity
Beyond individual transactions, Absher is the cornerstone of the Kingdom’s national digital identity framework. The platform has issued over 28 million unified digital identities, which provide secure and reliable access to a vast ecosystem of services. Through the unified national access portal, Nafath, these identities are integrated with more than 500 government and private sector entities, creating a seamless digital experience for users across the Saudi economy.
